Architekt i urbanista, od 2002 r. projektuje budynki w Wielkiej Brytanii, Polsce i krajach Europy Środkowej. Specjalizuje się w wysokiej jakości architekturze w strefach konserwatorskich oraz strefach chronionego krajobrazu naturalnego i kulturowego, w tym w rewitalizacjach i przebudowach istniejących budynków historycznych i zabytków m.in. w Westminster, Kensington & Chelsea, Richmond oraz Chilterns Area of Outstanding Natural Beuty (AONB), Surrey Hills (AONB) oraz South Downs National Park. Współautorka (wraz z Magdaleną Prosińską i Andrzejem Brunonem Kutiakiem) „Przewodnika Projektowego dla Miasta Ogrodu Podkowa Leśna” (2014). Publikacja zdobyła nagrodę w konkursie MKiDN oraz NID.
Absolwentka Wydziału Architektury Politechniki Wrocławskiej. Stowarzyszona w Dolnośląskiej Izbie Architektów (DOIA) oraz w Royal Institution of British Architects (RIBA) oraz brytyjskim oddziale INTBAU (International Network for Traditional Building, Architecture & Urbanism). W latach 2010–2014 współtworzyła polski oddział INTBAU. Współorganizowała międzynarodową konferencję INTBAU: „Tradycja i Dziedzictwo we Współczesnym Obrazie Miasta” (Kraków, maj 2014) oraz wycieczkę studialną Warsaw Study Tour: „Tradycja i Dziedzictwo we Współczesnym Obrazie Warszawy” (Warszawa, maj 2014) poświęconą odbudowie Warszawy. Redaktor jednej z foresightowych publikacji – tomu „Miasto Piękna i Charakteru” przygotowanej w ramach projektu Miasto Przyszłości – Laboratorium Wrocław ESK2016.
Uczestniczka międzynarodowych i ogólnopolskich konferencji dotyczących projektowania miast, dziedzictwa kuturowego i ochrony zabytków. Interesuje się zagadnieniami tradycji w budownictwie, architekturze, rzemiośle i kulturze, a także problemami odbudowy założeń urbanistycznych. Bada detale regionalne i lokalne oraz charakter i tożsamość miejsc.
Architect RIBA, DOIA
Since 2002 she has designed and collaborated in design of residential and commercial projects in the
UK, Poland and Europe. She specializes in high-quality architecture in conservation areas and areas of
special natural and cultural interest. Projects includes revitalization and reconstructions of existing historical buildings. She has also carried out a number of projects including complex interior design in
historic buildings.
She graduated from the Faculty of Architecture at Wrocław University of Science and Technology and
gained experience in leading international architectural design studios. Associate in the Lower
Silesian Chamber of Architects (DOIA) and the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA).
In the course of cooperation with prominent British design studios – leaders in the field of traditional
architecture and urban planning, she developed an interest in the aspects of tradition in
construction, crafts, and culture. The specific objects of her analysis include regional and local details
as well as the character and identity of places.
She has participated in the development of traditional buildings in the areas of exceptional cultural
value such as Westminster, Kensington & Chelsea and Richmond, as well as in areas of outstanding
natural beauty, including the Chilterns Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB) and the Surrey
Hills (AONB) and South Downs National Park.
A co-author (with Magdalena Prosińska and Andrzej Bruno Kutiak) of the "Building Design Guide for
Podkowa Leśna Garden City" (2014). The publication was awarded by the Ministry of Culture and
National Heritage and National Heritage Institute.
Since 2010, she has worked in the International Network for Traditional Building, Architecture &
Urbanism (INTBAU). In 2010-2014 she co-founded the Polish branch of INTBAU, where she was
responsible for program development and the implementation of key projects at national and
international level. A co-organizer of the INTBAU Conference: "Tradition and Heritage in the Image of
the Contemporary City" (Kraków, May 2014) attended by 200 participants from 15 countries. For the
participants of the conference she also co-organized the INTBAU Warsaw Study Tour "Tradition and
Heritage in the Contemporary Image of Warsaw" (Warsaw, May 2014) – a study tour devoted to the
post-war reconstruction of the city. She has edited ‘The City of Beauty and Character’ one of the
publications realized for the project City of the Future – Laboratory Wrocław within Wrocław
European Capital of Culture 2016 programme.
